For What It's Worth!
No pun intended ;)
Got A Clue mentioned generated revenue re: reality sites. According to http://www.websiteoutlook.com/www.jokersupdates.com Jokers is worth $256k, but one should read the disclaimer at the top of the page & according to inside sources JU is worth @ $40k tops! and the daily ad revenue of $350 is also a totally inflated figure, a pipe dream to be sure. Whereas it is true Jokers has so many ads, one can't help but hit a couple by mistake every day.
Having no axe to grind, believing in free enterprise and supply and demand, must admit I donated to JU in 2003 in a moment of weakness ;), but this was before Jokers started putting the donate button on every frickin' page and started flooding their site with spam! So much so JU has started premium access subscriptions where members can pay to get rid of the advertisements, etc. Oh the irony.
But hey, like I said free enterprise and just like politicians will never go broke underestimating the intelligence of the American public, most reality site owners will never go broke underestimating the intelligence of addicted reality fan lemmings.
btw, Joker loyalists should not be upset by RE's recent spotlight on JU. Any publicity is good publicity as Jokerette's ad revenue keeps on truckin'.
