Why the reality games were removed

There's plenty of complaining on other sites, and rumors are floating around about why we shut down the reality games forum, and things that I do or do not do. Let's set the record straight.

1) I do NOT, have never, and will never, read private messages on this site. I've announced that several times in the past, but there are still rumors circulating. It just plain isn't true. If a legal need ever arose where I needed to, I would. But it hasn't, and I don't envision a day ever coming when I'd need or want to. It's just ludicrous that people even think that I read them. I can't even read all the public posts that I want to on this huge site, why would I even consider spending my valuable time reading people's pm's?

2) The people who were removed from the site were in clear violation of our long-standing and publicly posted rules. These rules are agreed upon when you first sign up, and you're reminded several times that we take our rules seriously, unlike other sites who have rules but choose not to enforce them, and end up lingo-filled and, quite simply, idiotic and juvenile. Yes, we encourage intelligent discourse here on a silly subject like reality TV. You know that coming in - deal with it or leave. We know those members were in violation of our rules because a) they sent their pm to someone who notified me or another mod, b) they posted about violating our rules on those other sites, or c) they mentioned something publicly on our site about it. There's no mystery there.

3) This is a privately owned and operated site. The staff make the rules, and enforce them as we see fit. It doesn't have to be fair, and it doesn't have to be applied evenly across the board. If we don't like you, and we don't like you consistently enough, you're not going to be here ruining our days. If you don't like that, that's just too bad. If you choose to DONATE money to help support the site financially, that's wonderful and we really appreciate it (running a site this large is expensive, as some of you may find out someday in a few years), but it does not relieve you of the obligation to follow our rules. If you fail to follow them, you'll be removed, regardless of "what color" you are.

4) Upon request from some gamers, we were nice and set up a separate reality games forum, and tried to organize things a bit for the sake of our members. In return, we got plenty of nasty e-mails and pm's from game-runners and other members. One member in particular has been sending us a rash of e-mails laden with threats (don't worry, we know who it is, and I've contacted my lawyer and the Ohio Attorney General's office - Aly, if you want to know what your members are REALLY like, read below).

Listed below are ALL of the e-mails from this particular member, heavily edited with asterisks (mine, not his), so it might be a little more clear what the exact reasons were that we shut down the games forum.

John wants to clamp down and start eliminating and banning members who just post in F&Gs. Johnn should get it in his thick ****ing skull that WE are the FORT!!!
We choose to come to his site and play games, if he don't like it then eliminate the F&G forum and see how much precious membership the ***hole loses. Perhaps it is time for some new blood to take over one who is more friendly and respectful to those who patronize the site. I be damned some 35 year old hothead tell me what to do.
In closing John has a choice deal with us or lose us, like he said there are other sites but John loses nearly 45% OF HIS MEMBERSHIP!!!

Well John the "famewhore" must be proud his ****ing rule not allowing talking on F$G forum has people even scared to play the games, Your site is a piece of **** now, you have your pet members kissing John's ass now. John must be a insecure little boy all the attention has to be about him or takes his toy and changes the rules more times then people change thier underwear.
John can take his F&G forum and lock it and shove it up his ass along with the FORT site, soon a new website Fans of Reality TV site will start up and blow his site off the web as we take his members. Take a good long look at forum posts and see which one has one of the most, be prepared to lose that unless the rules are relaxed

Ban all you want d***head you can't stop it. we have a wonderful thing in America called freedom of choice and we are using it. Now John has added to his resume of being a coward, thief, ***hole now liar, he stated he shut down Reality game 12'31 but he does it more then a month earlier.. Well enough is enough we have contacted vbulliten, webmasters with complaints to have fansofrealitytv deactivated. We will stop at nothing to destroy John and his site by any means. nothing is hack proof F****NG NOTHING!!!!!. It is only a matter of time before Fans of Reality TV will cease to exist, one more thing Johnny to consider Band are ineffective many,many ways to get over that as we have. it's nice to have bombs placed on the inside ready to go off.

Want to know why I was unfairly banned by you John, I did not post one derogatory thing on your board, is it because I joined another board where the Fun and Games forum has continued. That was you desision to end that yet you seem to ne punishing the ones that made that choice. I never advertised the new site on your board but I was unfairly banned anyway.
You seem to forget how you started your site and built your membership you were banned from a site for PMing Moderators to join your site now you are doing the same thing that happened to you. The power has gotten to you has it?. What is it that you banned premium members without refunding thier money, that can constitute petty theft that could lead to your site being deactivated, just a word what some of these former members are thinking.
I wound get into reading PMs because that's just a invasion of privacy you may go " wherever you want" but that is shameful, you that insecure about yourself John?.
I personally like your site and can't see why you banned me I believe I am owed a apology because I did nothing wrong.

For the record, we didn't pm moderators on the other site to start this site. The mods were removed in a fit of crazy by the administrator, and I was asked to start this site by those mods. We adhered to a strict policy of NOT contacting any members of the other site, and if you go back to the beginning of this site, you'll find plenty of new members who found us that were from the old site, posting "why didn't anyone tell me where you were?" and so on.

Anyway, this is the explanation, which apparently is better than just keeping quiet. I'm sure it'll start a whole new slew of e-mails for us to deal with. What I don't understand is, if this site's so awful, and you're all so happy to be gone from it, why do you even WANT to come back here? Just go away, and live in happyland, and stay the f*** out of our business. We'll do just fine without you.

There's something you forgot to add in the article - the irony of it all.

When John split from Realitytvtalk.com, he PMed numerous members - many mods - telling them to come to his new site that he was creating. That's how he built the initial membership. However he is now banning people for the same thing over at his site.

Also - RTVG (realitytvgames.net) was initially created just for the games that FORT was elminating for some unknown reason, but since John felt it a threat, and the bans continued, it spurred RTVG to become a fully functional Reality asylum, not just for gamers but for the layperson as well.

It seems as though there has been a mass exodus of people from FORT (www.fansofrealitytv.com). It seems that many of the posters from the site have decided to create their own site at www.realitytvgames.net. Most of this is due to an announcement from John, the administrator that can be found here: http://www.fansofrealitytv.com/forums/announcement.php?f=239

There was a lot of people that had started playing reality-based games in the sites games forum, one of the major players/game hosts was AIWannabe, who was one of the top 20 posters. Apparently John doesn't like that people play games on his site, and so the gamers jumped ship, and Aly started up the Reality TV Games site, and many people came with her, including one of the top FORT-posters AIWannabe (now known as AIW on the new site). Well, of course in order to have their games, they needed to contact people from FORT that were involved in their games. They decided that because it's a known fact that John reads PMs, they would PM all those involved in FORT games, and ask for their e-mail addresses, in order to contact them about the new site. Well, John figured out what was going on, and soon after, many were banned, including many people that had contributed to the upkeep of the site and had become "green members", and of course AIWannabe was one of the first people to be banned. Of course, many of the games were being shut down with all the hosts of the games being banned, and so John made this statement:

"Several of our game players have been permanently removed from the site for violating our rules, regardless of the fact that I specifically warned everyone in the announcement about those rules.

I'd like to take a moment to re-remind you all that using FORT resources in ANY way to recruit members to other sites is a bannable violation. Permanently, and without further discussion.

Seems like the FORT seems to be going downhill as they have also lost all of their original mods except for fluff, (who seems to be sticking around for some reason)

There is a WHOLE lot of name calling (mostly by Empress) and a lot of rehasing old business (JP, Babbler, Sue Bitch (aka Jedi Janey) and Empress). And then there is the lovely Phusion who adds his two cents about his dislike for Empress and Sue Bitch(when someone asked who Sandi was he said *Sandi = The girl who Dumb & Dumber say has fake cancer.*. This whole thing is having members from Jokers Updates flock to RTVG to sit and watch the battle. Some moderators have even been so bold as to defend themselves and Jokerette (DressageRider). Others have changed their names to 'protect themselves' from the evil Empress (insert evil laugh).

Here are some highlights from the whole lovefest!

First Babbler gives a medical lesson to Sue Bitch:

Then a few post down Empress and Sue Bitch start with the profanity.

DressageRider jumps in and you start to see more of Jokers Updates regulars. Denise, Profiler (we are not sure who they are) thinking that Babbler is Jokers poster Gabbie because they use the same avi (I am sure there are only 2 of those on the internet), Dressage (Empress in the middle of all of that spewing her hatred) and then here comes attentionwhoresanonymous (making fun of the hillbilly Empress), Denise comes back again. Then out of the blue Janet jumps in. In between all of these Empress, Attentionwhoresanonymous and Profiler go back and forth with a few comments from the peanut gallery.

Then DressageRider comes back (we are almost to 200 posts).

FINALLY JP jumps in but does not reveal herself till later, when she says:

"By the way, my RL initials are JP, so I've never used a fake name here. My username at Jokers is currently Indie, it used to be Jecka, and I post at ElitesTV as Independent. I don't hide behind names to "attack" Empress and her sidekick of the moment, because quite honestly I've said it all and done it all before. I used a different name here initially because I did want a clean slate."

She goes on to talk about the whole Wildcard fiasco.

Empress starts with her name calling and then starts to attack the owner of Jokersupdates stating that she is 'skimming' from the top.

SueBitch attacks Phusion:

"Phusion you are a little 18 year kid, you are jumping to conclusions, once again, and sticking your nose into other people's business.

You bring nothing to this board and never have.

You are here only to find out what is said, and as soon as it is said, you run back and tell whoever it is said about, that it has been said. You are nothing but a thug for Ette and her "babies". You are sent out among all the boards to keep them informed.

I received a response from Kat on the previous entry from Paul - and to be honest this will probably be the last you hear on this battle for a while. The email was long, and I have posted it all in the message boards under The Fishbowl, but here are some highlights:

The conversation that Paul is refering to happend about a month or so before SEVERAL of us were banned. Someone in the room asked if anyone had ever had sex in public and my response was "Does oral sex in a car with my husband count?" Then I continued a conversation I was having with Mia who was a host at the time as the rest of the room continued the conversation. Paul has even tried to use that one conversation that happened about 1 in the morning with just a few of the regulars as a reason for firing Mia. The day alot of us were banned is the day he is talking about where I went into the room from my hotel. I was out to dinner with my husband when Mia sends me a text and tells me that we had all been banned. I got back to the hotel and logged on and everyone in our aim chat asked me to go into the room to see if they were talking about us since I was the only one with a different IP at the time. It was the SAME DAY we had all been banned. I had been in the chat room 2 times in the previous two weeks before the banning because I had just had enough.

Paul was nice enough to even include the myspace blog which he claims was filled with contempt and bile for the fact that I was banned. Paul was, as he is now, just running around spewing lies about me and I wanted him to come to me instead of harassing all my friends. He even flat out pulled the playground "If you talk to her I won't talk to you" gibberish. He says he was alerted? He was sitting on myspace and within a minute of it being posted he was already yelling at my friends that it had better be taken down. I have never had anything banned from myspace I took down the blog. I was sent an message asking me to take out his name and I chose to take the whole thing down because I had made my point and he had read it. And only 2 emails and he was only talking about my myspace blogs?

I want to make this clear right here and now, I HAVE NEVER BEEN BY PAUL'S HOUSE NOR HAVE I EVER TOLD ANYONE THAT I HAVE!! He started out whining to everyone that someone said I had been by his house, then the story changed to that I had gone by and stopped outside, now it has escalated to me getting out and walking around? Give me a break. Believe me I had better things to do in LA than drive by someones house whom I don't care about.

Some excerpts from an email from Paul - the owner/webmaster of TheFishbowl.com:

If I can comment on the Kat blurb you have on the front of your
site about me "stalking" her. She was banned from The Fishbowl for not
following simple rules of common sense. The rules are: 'no sexually
explicit discussions' and 'please remember to keep the bad language to a
minimum when minors are in the room.' With a known minor in the
Fishbwol chatroom present Kat had an explicit conversation about the
machinations of giving her husband oral sex while they were out on a
drive. So she was finally banned for that conversation - there had been
previous confrontations where Kat was asked to curb her language and
content and she had many complaints that she was 'not going to be
treated like a baby' in the chatroom. She came back a few weeks later
while at a hotel stay (thereby giving her a different IP address) to
attack and harass the hosts in the chatroom and on the boards of The
Fishbowl.

Kat then went off to write MySpace blogs about me filled with her
contempt and bile for the fact she was banned. She also had others
write similar things. I was alerted to the posts and I contacted
MySpace who warned her about their Terms of Service rules and got the
posts removed which caused her to write more about it which were also
banned. The other account by her cohort that was posting stuff about
the Fishbowl hosts and myself was terminated by MySpace. The "pages and
pages" of e-mails is two e-mails to Mia and Jerry about Kat and her
banning at the Fishbowl where I mentioned what Kat was doing on her
MySpace blogs.

The bottom line is that Kat does not think rules apply to her. And she
has a nerve talking about stalking when she recently returned from a
trip to Los Angeles and was telling her friends at the time that she had
someone drive her to my house when I was at work and she stopped and got
out. This was relayed to me through one of her friends whom Kat told.
They wanted to alert me to what happened because they obviously thought
it was wrong. Whatever Kat's reason for coming to my house; it
certainly was not to pay a social visit and probably falls well within
the stalking laws of CA. So by having a MySpace blog that breaks their
Terms of Service on personal attacks removed and mentioning it in an
e-mail is equal to stalking in Kat's mind but her bragging to others
about driving to my house in Los Angeles and getting out to look around
does not? I guess different rules apply to Kat than the rest of us.

Noticed a funny post by Tobor in a thread started by Tobor over at Reality TV Gossip (go figure) -

"As a writer, I enjoy creating a topic with one character and then arguing with myself as someone else. Other people join in and it gets interesting. It helps the creative process if you can see AND argue both sides of any issue and convince other people that it is real.

At TV Clubhouse, if you are found to have more than one account, you get both banned for life. For me to argue with myself over there, I have to email my responses to someone else for them to post. Once I set the table for a good debate, it gets even more fun."

Tobor calls arguing with himself a creative process. Most people would call it masturbation.

A little correction from the owner of Reality Hot Spot:

I'm sure you want what you print to be as factual as possible, so here are a
few corrections to what you wrote. The first being that I did not betray
the "Thugs" and am friends with every single one of them except Kat, who I
had a falling out with. The second being that I did not go to Paul and TFB
for support, I simply had the opportunity to have a conversation with Paul
and we made amends. The third is that we did not create RealityHotSpot.com
to bash anybody, we only wanted a place to be able to speak our minds when
most of us were banned from TFB. It is true that I am the sole owner of the
site now and Kat has moved on to her own forum. Thanks, I would appreciate
the corrections.

And one from the owner of Reality Check:

Would just like to clear up that my site is not dedicated bashing Paul or The Fishbowl. We are dedicated to Reality Television and there is one post on the whole board that says anything about Paul. Who by the way has been stalking me around the internet for almost a year now. I have email after email that are just pages of him tracking my every move that he sent to someone. Here is the link (see above) to the site if you would like to check it out and see that the site IS NOT dedicated to bashing those morons as Tina wants to put out there.
